Matt Kramer Named Chamber's New President

The Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce announced that Matt Kramer has been selected as the organization’s next President. Kramer is currently the director of the Office of Business Relations at the University of Minnesota and previously served as chief of staff to Governor Pawlenty. From 2003-06 he served as commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). Read more.

"Create a Spot for Business" Campaign Launched to Improve Parking in Downtown

On April 27, 2010 leaders from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, CapitolRiver Council, Visit Saint Paul and Greater Saint Paul Area BOMA, along with Saint Paul City Councilman Dave Thune launched an initiative aimed at making parking easier for downtown patrons, visitors and residents.

Tiered Dues Investment

The Chamber is now offering members a new way to invest in programs and services that will help your business grow. Here’s how it works: Membership services and benefits are categorized into unique packages; each package is tailored with specific products and services to meet your business needs. Organizations can join the Chamber for about the same cost as the minimum investment under the former system.

Shared Services Survey

Last year, the Chamber completed a survey of of Ramsey County cities, school Districts, county and City of Oakdale to discover how local governments were spending tax dollars. The study highlights best practices and can be used to encourage other municipalities and districts to utilize shared services wherever practical in their communities.
