Mayor Chris Coleman will present his proposed 2009 budget for the City of Saint Paul on Tuesday, August 12 at the Council Chambers in City Hall from noon-1:30. Members are encouraged to attend. The Mayor will share his budget message with our executive committee later this month.
Since March 2008, your Chamber has been working with government partners to address the loss of parking along the proposed Central Corridor route. The Chamber will participate in Monday’s ground breaking ceremony for the new Trader Joe’s in Saint Paul. A number of public and private entities, including your Chamber, worked very hard to make this project a reality. Come join Board member Bill Foussard, Mayor Chris Coleman and Council Member Pat Harris to celebrate this milestone at the store’s future location of Lexington Parkway and Randolph Avenue.
Terry Furlong, Furlong Liquors, has been appointed to fill the North St. Paul City Council seat vacated by new Mayor Mike Kuehn. The seat will be up for election this fall to fill out the remaining two years of the term.

The Maplewood City Council will host a public hearing on dynamic display signs Monday, August 11 at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The hearing address the language revisions on both off-site (billboards) and on-site signs.
